Project overview
The project aims to ensure the safety and compliance of Oak Square residential estate. The scope involves replacement of external wall cladding, mechanical ventilation heat recovery and remediation of defects at the Quadrant, Oak Square and Stockwell.
What works are being carried out?
Higgins are the main contractors on site undertaking remediation works to the external wall. This involves deconstruction of the existing cladding to the building façade and replacement with terracotta rainscreen cladding system. The works are ongoing with a target Practical Completion of April 2027, progress updates are issued as part of the regular communications to residents.
Higgins are the Main Contractor undertaking the replacement of the existing Ventilation Equipment with a new supply-and-extract mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR). This is to maintain good indoor air quality and lower the relative humidity indoors.
