We are looking for music-loving residents to be involved in the second series of our social history project. The podcast aims to document and celebrate the diverse wealth of ordinary and extraordinary life stories of residents living in social housing.
The interviews will be structured around a musical timeline, with residents sharing songs that embody treasured memories and pivotal moments in their lives.
For series two of the Every Kinda People podcast, we are offering free training to 12 residents within our communities who would like to learn about sound recording, interviewing and what goes into making an audio podcast.
For this project, the Notting Hill Genesis volunteering team have partnered with Digital Works (an arts and educational charity) who will lead the training and help produce the series of 12 episodes.
Training is scheduled to take place between 14-16 March with the interviews recording happening between the 17-25 March. Interested residents will need to commit to all three days of training and be available for one or two days of interviewing.
Every Kinda People series two launches in June 2022 and will be available to stream and download via Mix cloud and from the Digital Works and Notting Hill Genesis websites.
