Residents lead tours at Open House London weekend

We were delighted to throw open the doors of Cheviot Gardens to the public again this year as part of Open House London.

This provided the public with a unique opportunity to take a peak at retirement living through a tour of the building led by our resident ambassadors.

Beautiful cakes, teas and coffees were on sale throughout the day, with proceeds going towards both L'Arche, the local learning disability charity that runs the café during the week, and to fund on-site activities for residents.

Entertainment was on site throughout the afternoon and we were delighted to be joined by GoodGym volunteers for the first time, who ran to the scheme and helped out in the early part of the afternoon.

Over 70 people visited the scheme many of them older or living with disabilities, and families brought their children too.

A good day was had by all!
