To celebrate the many different communities in which Notting Hill Genesis have our homes, we asked you to submit stories about why you love where they live.
In our second instalment, we hear from Tony who lives in Paddington.
‘I've been a tenant since 1995 back when Notting Hill Genesis was Paddington Churches Housing Association.
‘Since then, I have lived at three properties, the first on Randolph Avenue close to Maida Vale station, and the second in leafy West Hampstead. By far my favourite though is where I am now in Lancaster Gate on Gloucester Terrace. It's close to Marble Arch and all the shops, and also very close to both Lancaster Gate and Paddington stations which get me to anywhere I really need to be.
‘The community around me is diverse and engaging with some nice quirky bars and cafes. Most of all though is the park which is a one minute walk from my door. Kensington Park which leads into Hyde Park is where I go most days to sit and think at the Italian Fountains.
‘Some residents aren't as lucky as me to live in such a nice area, and I never lose sight of that and appreciate every day what I have on my doorstep.’
