Get advice on cutting energy bills

We’re helping residents cut their energy bills and get expert financial advice as part of the upcoming Big Energy Saving Week.

Big Energy Saving Week, which runs from Monday 21 January, is a national campaign aimed at helping people reduce their energy bills and ensuring they receive all the financial support they are entitled to.

As part of the campaign, we are hosting a special event running from noon until 3pm on Tuesday 22 January.

Citizens’ Advice will be on hand with a series of resident workshops, helping them find out how to check what they are paying for their energy, find out what they could save elsewhere and how they can switch suppliers. They can also get advice on various payment plans, including pre-paid direct debits and pay-as-you-go meters.

Meanwhile Capitalise, a free, confidential London-wide debt advice service will be providing advice to residents on their financial situation and making sure they can get the best help available. Capitalise deal with all types of debt including rent arrears, council tax arrears and bank debts, as well as helping with budgeting, maximising your income and reducing payments to creditors.

The event is at Notting Hill Genesis, 1-3 Sussex Place, Hammersmith, W6 9EA.

Residents can book a place at the event by contacting their housing officer or the tenancy support team on tenancysupport@nhhg.org.uk to book a place.
