Are you interested in sheltered housing?

We provide approximately 1,900 sheltered housing homes across London, Essex and Hertfordshire.

Sheltered housing is self-contained accommodation for older people, usually within a low-rise scheme, with a lift. Sheltered accommodation enables people to enjoy their later years in one place, maximise their independence for longer and offers on-site community and social interaction.

Specialist housing staff offer assistance with housing and benefits and understand the specific issues that older people often face with maintaining their tenancy. Gardens and communal areas allow for activities and groups to meet and share interests, while some of our larger schemes also offer a restaurant to provide a daily hot meal.

Our residents appreciate the support this type of housing offers in helping them enjoy the freedom of their own home, to live full and active lives, but still have the reassurance of 24 hour support through a warden alarm call system.
During the pandemic, many of our residents really appreciated not being totally isolated while shielding at home. Staff make regular contact with all residents, even if it has to be over the phone rather than face to face, to make sure all is well and have a bit of a natter.
