We’re inviting residents at Zenith Close to come along to our Children’s Day outdoor community event, taking place on Wednesday 27 May. The day is all about giving children a chance to enjoy free activities while making it easier for residents to access support, speak to staff and spend time together as a community.
The event will run throughout the day and will bring together children’s entertainment and practical advice services in one place. It’s intended to be relaxed and easy to drop into, whether you’re there to join in the activities, ask a question, or simply meet neighbours.
What’s on for children and families
There will be a range of free activities available for children throughout the day, delivered in a safe outdoor space. Planned activities include:
- Face painting
- Music and dancing
- Outdoor games and interactive play
- Popcorn, ice cream and candy floss
- Food and refreshments
- Other activities running at intervals during the event
These activities are designed to keep children entertained while families spend time together locally.
Support and advice services available on the day
As well as the children’s activities, residents will be able to speak to staff and access support without needing an appointment. Services will be available throughout the day in an informal setting.
Support available will include:
- Welfare Benefits advice/support
- Rent arrears support (inc advise on claiming Housing Payments for rent arrears)
- Tenancy support including utility bills, energy and water debts, debt and budgeting support (with £30 supermarket voucher), food support ...etc
- Repairs queries
- Ask the Housing Officer desk for further advice and support
- Resident involvement
This gives residents the opportunity to raise issues, ask questions or find out more about available support while attending the event.
