In November last year the Regulator of Social Housing published the outcome of a routine regulatory inspection of Notting Hill Genesis, in which they judged us to be non-compliant against their governance and consumer standards, with grades of G3 and C3.
We remained compliant with their viability standard, with a grade of V2.
Since then we have been working with the regulator to agree a plan to ensure we regain compliance with their governance and consumer standards. In the past few days, the regulator has agreed that plan.
The plan includes 11 workstreams, each with clear outcomes that, once delivered, will enable us to regain compliance with the regulator’s governance and consumer standards.
Several of the workstreams against the consumer standard build on the foundations we’ve already established and on the progress we’ve made so far through our Better Together strategy. They include activities to improve repairs, complaints and how we deal with damp and mould, which we know are areas that matter to you.
In a message to residents, chief executive Patrick Franco said:
“Please accept my apologies again that we are still not consistently providing the standard of service that you all need and deserve. We remain committed to ensuring every one of you lives in a safe, warm and comfortable home, but we know we have more work to do to get there.
“The agreement of the compliance plan is an important step towards fulfilling that commitment, alongside the progress we’ve already made against Better Together.”
We will provide updates on our progress on this website and in our Connections resident bulletin.
