We're looking at ways to improve the green spaces around our neighbourhoods, making them more attractive for residents and better for local wildlife.
As our estates team plan next year's planting programme, we'd love to hear from residents about areas they feel would benefit from additional planting.
As well as making your local environment greener and more attractive, adding plants and shrubs has many more advantages. Plants and trees improve air quality, help with drainage and boosts biodiversity.
Unfortunately, we can't carry out planting at every location, so we'll need to focus on sites where improvements are most needed.
If you'd like to suggest your area for consideration, please email estates.services@nhg.org.uk with a brief explanation of why you think it would benefit from extra planting. You could even add a photo of the area you would like to transform, if you would like to.
All suggestions will be reviewed and added to our list of potential sites as we develop the programme. Please note that any planting works carried out through this programme will be a rechargeable service.
The full list of sites due to be planted will be shared on our website later in the year.
