In early June, nearly 60 residents came together at the Gascoyne 2 Community Centre in Hackney for our regional residents’ meeting – an inspiring turnout and a clear reflection of the strength and passion within our community.
The customer insight session and open Q&A were particularly impactful, giving residents a platform to speak openly, raise concerns, and engage in honest, constructive conversations. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with attendees describing these discussions as reassuring, empowering, and an important step in building trust and transparency.
Many residents shared how much they appreciated the chance to connect directly with NHG staff, learn more about funding available to them, and explore opportunities to get involved in their community.
As one resident put it,
“Being able to speak to someone face to face and being listened to made a real difference”
Another highlighted the importance of
“Actually speaking to someone rather than using the message portal.”
Our staff played a vital role in creating a positive and inclusive environment. Colleagues were widely praised for their warmth, approachability, and genuine commitment to listening and engaging with residents. Their presence and dedication made a real difference on the day.
The next regional resident meeting will take place in the west region on Wednesday 16 September. Keep an eye on our get involved page for more details and to sign up to come along nearer the time.
