To qualify for our promotion:
- The accommodation must closely match our facilities (e.g., single occupancy with shared amenities).
- Proof must be provided before accepting the offer.
Rent details
UCLH employees (paid via salary deduction) are entitled to a discount rate for rooms:
- Standard room £836.38
- Medium room (applicable to Elizabeth House only) £949.32
- Large room £975.48
At John Astor House, tenancy terms are now more flexible with the minimum stay no longer fixed at 12 months. Ensuite rooms require a 6-month minimum tenancy, and residents must give one month’s notice before moving out.
Standard rooms are available for short-term stays with no minimum requirement, though one month’s notice still applies. Rent includes all utility bills (except the TV licence and Wi-Fi), and ensuite rooms come with complimentary Wi-Fi. All tenants also have access to fibre optic broadband.
Student and non-key workers can also apply for accommodation:

John Astor House
Features include:
- Retro-Americana-styled laundry room on the lower ground floor, with modern self-service machines by downloading the app on both Android and iOS devices for easy cashless top-ups
- The central courtyard offers open-air space styled and refitted with astroturf and fashionable garden furniture. Great for social gatherings and alfresco dining, especially in the summer months
- A club room where our residents have access to watch their TV programmes or even play games.
