The Prince's Trust offers various programmes available to young people living in London.

Health and Social Care Primary Care Information Session (16-30)The next Princes Trust Health and Social Care Career Session will be held on Thursday 10th March 2022 6pm- 7.30pm and will focus on Careers in Primary Care. This online event (Microsoft Teams) is open to any young people interested in learning more about  opportunities available in Primary Care, what skills or qualifications are needed (if any), and how to get involved. We have several guest speakers joining the session who currently work in the sector.

Welcome Session (16-30)

We are hosting fortnightly welcome sessions for young people who want to find out more information about The Prince’s Trust and our opportunities. These will be held through Microsoft Teams in a video conference format. Young people can watch the presentation and get involved as much as they want. Afterwards, a staff member will follow up 1:1 and progress them onto our programmes.

Get Started in Fashion Design (16-30)Join a FREE one week programme for young people who are interested in a career in fashion. This course is available to 16-30 year olds living in London, currently not in employment, education or training. This course will give you the opportunity to:

  • Learn a wide range of practical skills related to the industry
  • Work with experts from the industry
  • Improve your teamwork and communication skills and boost your confidence.
  • Explore progression routes in the industry including self-employment
  • Produce a garment which will be displayed at a celebration event and can be included in a portfolio

No experience necessary! Travel and lunch will be provided

Get Into Customer Service with South West Trains (18-30)The Prince's Trust have partnered with South West Trains  to help you build your skills, knowledge and experience of customer service in the railway sector. Join our free programme to get 2 weeks training and 2weeks of work experience in railway stations across London. Get the chance to secure guaranteed interviews for paid positions with South West Trains upon completion of the course.

Programmes includes:

  • Introduction to key professional skills such as confidence, time management and motivation
  • Health & Safety and First Aid training
  • How to give excellent customer service
  • On-the-job training
  • Preparing for work, including CV and interview skills

Get Started in Screenwriting with Iconic Steps (18-30)

Learn the art of storytelling through working with a professional screen writer. No experience needed! Just an interest in producing scripts. The tutor will walk participants through the process and by the end of the course they will have fully developed a 1-3 minute script. The course also incorporates mindfulness techniques to help young people unlock their creativity. On the last day a guest speaker will provide feedback as well as any questions they may have.Taster Day: Tuesday 22nd MarchMain Programme: Monday 28th March – Friday 1st April


Get Started in Documentary Making with Iconic Steps [CROYDON ONLY 16-24]

Interested in documentaries and film making? During this 1 week face-to-face course with Prince’s Trust and Iconic Steps, you will learn key camera, sound, lighting and editing techniques/styles from industry professionals. You’ll get hands-on experience using professional cameras, and have the opportunity to create your own documentary and increase your knowledge of the media industry. All of this as well as 1-2-1 support, building and developing your confidence, wellbeing and life skills! Lunch will be provided and travel will be reimbursed. To be eligible you must be not in any education, training or employment and living in Croydon with a CR or SE25 postcode.

Get Into Healthcare with the NHS  (18 – 30)Are you 18-30 and looking for employment in London? Are you interested in a career where you can make a difference?In this programme you will explore the range of roles on offer and prepare to secure a job in the Health & Social Care sector. You will perfect your interview technique and practice selling yourself to an employer.Taster Day: Wednesday 23rd MarchMain Programme: Monday 28th March – Wednesday 20th April


Explore (16-25)

Explore is a 5-week personal development programme which offers young people group activities and one-to-one support to help build confidence, get motivated, meet new people, and identify and achieve their goals. The Explore sessions cover health and wellbeing, employability skills and leadership opportunities.Main Programme: Monday 28th March – Thursday 11th May

Get Stared as a Tour Guide (18-30)

Are you 18-30? Do you want a job where no 2 days are the same? Would you like to meet people from around the world? Do you have a good memory with a great sense of humour?The Prince’s Trust in partnership with the British Museum are offering you a fantastic opportunity  to step into the world of being a tour guide. No prior qualification required – just a desire to share your passion and enthusiasm.

This weeklong programme will take place in the majestic surrounding of the British Museum. Where you will learn to:

  • Deliver eye opening and informative guided tours
  • Learn and enrich your knowledge about world cultures
  • Learn the insider tips and tricks of confidence, group delivery and be able to lead visitors the sites of historical & cultural interest

Ready to Work – Stewarding with TriForce (16-30)Are you 18-30 and interested in Stewarding? This short course offers you a chance to meet employers such as Arsenal FC who are actively looking for young people to fulfil Stewarding roles available. There will be a Taster Day trial; if you are successful you will be invited to Day 1 to receive in depth training into Stewarding and support applying for the roles available. This is the perfect opportunity for you to improve your interpersonal and time-management skills and quickly gain potential employment! Also get the chance to have an exciting insider tour around Arsenal Stadium!

Get Into Digital Marketing with WYK Digital (18-30)

The Prince’s Trust and WYK Digital are excited to present this 11-week programme focusing on the digital marketing sector. This programme will expose all participants to training and working with real businesses, predominantly using Facebook and Google marketing tools. With support with dedicated expert trainers, industry mentors and skills coaching, young people will build up a huge range of skills both soft, technical, and also practical. Upon completion of the course, participants will be given the opportunity to apply for jobs with some of the largest digital marketing companies in the world and given support with the guaranteed interviews. Over 75% of participant's secure permanent work in the digital marketing industry within 3 months with starting salaries of 20-22k!

Get Into Security (18-30)

The Prince’s Trust and Triforce are running a FREE training programme for young people based in London and interested in working in security. You will receive a FREE Level 2 Award for Working as a Door Supervisor within the Private Sector Industry, FREE SIA badge enabling you to apply for work as a door supervisor or a security officer and access roles across the security industry and be able to interview with employers within the Security Industry.Taster Day: Thursday 14th April

Get Started with Wildlife in Cities (16-25)This might be hard to believe, but there is a whole world of wildlife within our city that often goes ignored and unnoticed. Explore Enterprise (18-30)Support to start a business covering everything from business planning and marketing to sales, budgeting and tax as well as the opportunity to work with a business mentor


Development Awards (16-30)
