New community hub for residents in Westminster

The Exchange was launched last month and offers hot food, free activities and more.

This fantastic new community hub was created for local residents and is run by North Paddington Foodbank. The space was designed to spark creativity and sense of community spirit for local people and is funded by Westminster City Council and they are keen to work with us to promote it.

They’ve kindly provided free hot meals three times a week to residents of Ernest Harriss House, our sheltered housing scheme on the same site. Anyone else can get meals for a donation, which goes into keeping the cafe running, helping more people access affordable meals.

The hub kitchen is run by volunteers and the space also offers free yoga along with film nights and pizza. There’s plenty more in the pipeline and as more people come along, they will ramp up the activities. It is also a great space for doing work and they have Wi-Fi for those who want to take their laptops there.

So, if you are a resident in the local area please go and check out the hub at 61 Elgin Avenue, W9 2DB. It’s open Monday to Friday 8am - 8pm and Saturday 8am - 4pm.
