Campaign for wall revamp pays off for local resident

The community at Factory Quarter came together to celebrate the painting of Warple Way following the remarkable efforts of resident John McNally to secure funding for the work.

For years, John championed a campaign to rejuvenate the wall and thanks to funding and support from Thames Water, his dream has become a reality. We supported his efforts throughout and enlisted studiotwenty7, who work from one of the Factory Quarter commercial units, to create a design for the wall.

The project demonstrates our dedication to collaborating with local people and local businesses to create something the community can be proud of and reflects our commitment to providing better places for residents to thrive.

This initiative stands as a testament to the positive impact of community-driven change.

Resident, John McNally, said of his efforts coming to life:  "Every time I walked past the grey concrete wall, I saw it as a blank canvas and had a vision of a colourful, vibrant mural to brighten the daily walk and cycle ride of hundreds of local residents.

“The design created by the studiotwenty7 team is amazing and we have received many positive comments."

James Glass, director of places for Notting Hill Genesis, added: “We are thrilled to support John’s vision and to see the community come together today. This project showcases the power of creativity and determination in shaping welcoming spaces our residents can take pride in.”
