Volunteering

What is volunteering to us?

At Notting Hill Genesis we always aim to support our residents and their communities. Our volunteers are a crucial part of helping us achieve this and really make a meaningful impact in our residents’ lives.

Our volunteers are a diverse group, coming from all walks of life and all giving valuable time to fulfill a variety of interesting roles in our organisation. They share their skills and compassion to really help others. Volunteers can work with us as individuals or a group.

Individuals

Individual volunteers can provide us with practical assistance or befriending, creating better and safer communities.

Practical assistance could be decorating, painting, woodwork or gardening. If you have any special skills or knowledge we would love to know about it!

A friendly face can make all the difference to someone who is alone and isolated. If you are interested in volunteering for a befriending programme, we will carefully match you up with someone who would love to receive your help.<

Employees and partners

For group projects, we organise staff team-building and away days. This can cover garden makeover projects or day trips with our residents. We have worked with a number of partner companies to provide them with great community-driven away days, which they and our residents enjoy! Some of our partners have included the BBC, Disney and JP Morgan.

What we offer

We support our volunteers to make sure their time with us is enjoyable and rewarding for both residents and volunteers. We provide regular contact, free training and a bi-annual thank you event for our volunteers.

Volunteering with us means making a difference, gaining confidence, improving and sharing your skills. Why not give it a go? Our current volunteering roles can be found below.
