We’ve been busy preparing for the introduction of Social Tenant Access to Information Requirements (STAIRs), a new regulatory requirement designed to improve transparency and make it easier for our residents to access information about their homes, services and landlord.
What is STAIRs?
STAIRs aims to give residents easier access to key information about NHG, including our services, performance, governance, housing stock and decision-making. It supports greater openness, accountability and a better resident experience.
New resident STAIRs webpage now live
As part of our implementation journey, we’ve launched a dedicated STAIRs webpage, where residents can access published information in one place. The site includes information on topics such as governance, performance, housing services, tenant engagement and finance.
Key dates
The STAIRs regulations are being introduced in two parts beginning with the publication scheme, which has gone live today (1 October 2026).
From 1 April 2027 residents will also be able to submit formal STAIRs information requests.
