We’ve started production on a third series of our Desert Island Discs-style podcast, showcasing the amazing stories of extraordinary people living in Notting Hill Genesis homes.
Titled Every Kinda People, each podcast traces the story of one resident through a musical timeline.
Seven resident volunteers attended three days of sound recording and interview technique training earlier this month, learning how to make and produce a podcast.
Our volunteers then went on to interview and record the accounts from residents living in Bolney Meadow, Vauxhall who will feature in the forthcoming series three episodes, which are planned for release on 10 May.
Once again, we partnered with arts and education charity www.digital-works.co.uk, who trained and educated volunteers in the art of podcasting and interviewing.
The podcasts follow series one and two of Every Kinda People featuring diverse and lively residents, including artists, DJs and writers who all share a passion for music.

Pollina, one of the resident trainees, said: “I loved how we worked as a unit and team when interviewing. I never really associated music to someone’s life. I learned the impact of listening, being still and respecting space. It was a brilliant experience to be involved in.”
