SimpliCity is a service we offer for working households who cannot easily access social housing, but are also unable to afford to rent or buy at market rates or participate in Shared Ownership schemes. Watch our video and read up the information below for more:
Simplicity is an affordable private let and not a social let. It offers low-cost rental homes with a choice of a 1 to 3 years tenancy. These homes are reserved for households with an income of less than £60,000 that do not own any property in the UK or abroad. We do not accept zero hour contracts or students.
You'll need to pass an affordability check whereby rent and long-term commitments (loans, child support) do not exceed 45% of take-home pay + any benefits. The main or joint applicant must be in a permanent employment contract for over a year.
The criteria to be eligible is listed in adverts for each property, which are posted on Rightmove.
What we offer
A growing number of families in London are living in accommodation in the private-rented sector, with very little security. SimpliCity aims to provide an alternative for these families by offering tenants a three bedroom House at 80% of the market rate. We offer a one or three-year tenancy and a guarantee that rents will increase by no more than CPI+1% each year, as well as a responsible and trustworthy landlord.
How it works
New SimpliCity properties are advertised at www.rightmove.co.uk. Homes are currently available only in the London Boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Bexley, Croydon and Greenwich.
