Shareholders confirm support for merger plans

Shareholders of Notting Hill Housing have tonight (Thursday) voted overwhelmingly to confirm their support for our proposed merger with Genesis Housing Association.

They had initially voted in favour of the move, which would create one of the country’s largest housing associations, at a special general meeting on 16 January. Under our constitution, that had to be followed by tonight’s second vote.

Genesis’ shareholders have also backed the proposal.

Work continues to prepare our organisations to become Notting Hill Genesis, including ongoing conversations and engagement with our residents, colleagues and funders.

The Boards of both Notting Hill Housing and Genesis feel our proposed merger is an exciting and positive move for residents and colleagues, as well as for London and the south east more widely and are pleased our shareholders feel the same.
