Peckham Place shortlisted for two design awards

Our Peckham Place development has been shortlisted for two New London Architecture (NLA) awards - in the housing category and the people’s choice category.

Supported by the Mayor of London, the NLA awards are given for buildings that have a positive impact on people, neighbourhoods and the city for their high-quality design, planning and construction.

Formerly the Wooddene Estate, Peckham Place on Queen’s Road consists of 333 homes, with one, two and three-bedroom flats available via shared ownership and private sale.

Peckham recently topped the Sunday Times list of the best places to live in London, with its energy, excitement and diversity. As well as Rye Lane Market with its exotic fruit stalls and Bellenden Road with its cool boutiques, Peckham is home to two of the most iconic rooftop venues in London – Frank’s cafe and the Bussey Building’s rooftop cinema.

Jim Munson, head of marketing at Notting Hill Genesis, said: “The NLA awards are all about how well-designed homes can make a positive contribution to their surroundings and life in the capital, while respecting London’s rich mix of old and new. We are delighted that Peckham Place has been shortlisted and we feel strongly that this development complements the vibrant and eclectic nature of Peckham life.”

Londoners are invited to vote for their favourite project from the NLA 2021 shortlist. Voting closes 1 November and the project with the most votes will be awarded the People’s Choice Award. You can read about Peckham Place on the NLA awards website here.
