One of our directors has earned a place on the prestigious Leadership 2025 programme – aimed at developing the BAME leaders of the future.
Sandip Shergill, director of procurement at Notting Hill Genesis, will spend the next nine months undertaking reflective, peer group and practical learning, taking part in a residential leadership programme and attending masterclasses covering skills such as finance, governance and development and other areas key to the housing sector.
Participants will also receive support from a mentor, who will be a leader from the sector.
Leadership 2025 is exclusively for senior leaders from BAME backgrounds and was launched at a prestigious event supported by London Mayor Sadiq Khan at City Hall.
Sandip said: “Having gone through the application and interview process I am delighted to have been successful in securing a place on this programme and really look forward to the next nine months.
I would like to thank Notting Hill Genesis for giving me this opportunity. I’ll hopefully learn a great deal from the programme and bring this back into the organisation, while also supporting the next chapter of my career as a future executive board candidate.
Kate Davies, chief executive of Notting Hill Genesis, added: “We are very proud that Sandip has gained a place on Leadership 2025. It is well deserved and the new skills, knowledge and confidence he brings back will be of great benefit to our organisation.
“We are committed to creating a diverse, modern leadership group that better reflects our wider workforce and our residents, and developing the BAME leaders of the future is an important part of that.”
