HeadsUp is a free programme funded by the European Social Fund and the National Lottery Community Fund supporting those who are unemployed/economically inactive to get back into employment or education/training. HeadsUp is delivered across the whole of Essex offering back to work support and activities for people who have experienced common mental health problems such as anxiety or depression (no formal diagnosis needed).
Our aim is to support those who feel worried about getting back to work and give them the tools to develop their job seeking and employment skills. Participants work with one of our Peer Support Workers (who themselves have lived experience of common mental health problems) and can also attend well-being/resilience and confidence building workshops and attend mock interviews or work placements set up with local employers. Participants can self-refer or be referred by organisations that they are already in contact with/being supported by.
