As a NHG resident you can benefit from our partnerships with local support agencies who can help you with many areas of your life from money and jobs to health and wellbeing.

Re-engage are a nationwide charity on a mission to combat loneliness amongst older people through free volunteer-led social activity groups and call companions, a free telephone befriending service.
Residents aged over 75 years of age will be matched with trained and vetted volunteers, and those residents looking for volunteering opportunities will be trained and supported to become call companions.
These volunteers – known as call companions – will provide life changing social connections and companionship through regular telephone conversations. Re-engage also offer the rainbow companions service for LGBT+ users over 75 who’d like to speak to someone who is also LGBT+.
Residents over the age of 75 can refer themselves to the programme or ask their housing officer for a referral if they feel they need it.
Residents over the age of 18 can also get involved by registering to become a volunteer where you will receive in depth training and on-going support.
Find your local Age UK organisation and list of what they can help with. Every Age UK is run independently so the support they offer will vary.

Housing floating support is a free, short term service to residents in the borough who are living independently in any type of accommodation and are having difficulties managing their home. Floating support can help you resolve a crisis and improve your skills and confidence to take control of your life and make your own decisions.
