We believe that our older residents should feel safe and happy in their home and during the pandemic we have been working hard to ensure this is the case.
We are all in this together
We are very proud of the way our staff and residents have come together to support each other during this challenging period. Our dedicated care teams have worked quickly, and incredibly hard, to protect everyone’s safety, wellbeing and happiness. They’ve achieved so much in a short space of time - and it’s paid off. Our services have experienced very low or no coronavirus infection compared to the national average – a huge relief to all of us. Feedback from residents and their families consistently shows that residents have felt safe and supported.
Safety and Support
Our approach is constantly reviewed against government recommendations, but we always go beyond the guidelines to protect our residents with measures which include extra staff, deep cleaning and enhanced hygiene, and changes to the way we deliver care which ensures the risk of contracting the virus is managed at all times.
Keeping spirits High
We’ve been running lots of virtual, and socially distanced, activities to entertain our residents throughout lockdown - from exercise classes to outdoor music events. Our activity workers and onsite staff are working really hard to find new and innovative ways to celebrate everything from milestone birthdays (we have celebrated a number of 100th birthdays this year) and other big events such as the VE Day celebrations.
