A team of Santas swapped chimneys for the walls of our Hammersmith office this morning when they abseiled from the roof to give presents to neighbouring schoolchildren. The pupils from nearby St Paul’s CE Catholic School looked on in amazement from their playground as a team of Santas made their way down from the top of our Hammersmith office, laden with toys to share out.
It is the second time contractors from Rope Access In London (RAIL) have held their annual Santa abseil at our office in Sussex Place, having been there before in 2019. RAIL are used by Wates, one of our repairs partners, for roofing repair work.
This time though, the Santas will also be visiting pupils at Winton Primary School, next to our office in King's Cross. This time will be keeping their feet on the ground by walking the presents around, while pupils will look on from their raised playground.
It was lovely to see the excitement of the children when they first spotted the Santas appearing at the top of Sussex Place and we're looking forward to seeing the reaction at Winton School next week.
Every child receives a gift, with anything left over being donated to our Christmas gift appeal.
