We are recruiting for our oversight and scrutiny panel who examine resident feedback and undertake service reviews with our staff. Here’s what chair of the panel, Lindy, has to say about the panel’s key focuses this year and how you can get involved.
Hi everyone, my name is Lindy and I’m the chair of the oversight and scrutiny group.
The group consists of residents like you and works in partnership with Notting Hill Genesis to look at improving the services provided. These are services that affect our daily living experience.
The oversight and scrutiny group have worked on several projects in the last couple of years. Even through Covid-19 and the challenges we faced around working remotely, the group was able to make a series of positive recommendations on services.
One project was a review of our fire and building safety communications – how key information about building safety is communicated to residents both locally and online. Another was the annual visit experience for tenants – making sure residents are clear on what to expect from their annual visits.
Through this work, we were able to share our experiences with staff and influence positive changes through scrutiny and collaboration.
Currently we have some vacancies in the group and would like to encourage all residents, regardless of tenure, to get in touch if interested. We are a fixed membership group who meet three or four times a year. We focus on projects which are agreed by the Resident Voices Group (the representative hub of involvement) that are informed by feedback and experiences shared by residents.
Although it may seem challenging at first believing you may not have any experience to offer, YOU DO! So come and join us to help make changes for a better living experience with Notting Hill Genesis. To find out more about the group, please email email@example.com
