We’re really excited to share the latest development in our ongoing partnership with Centrepoint.
Thanks to grant funding, Centrepoint have been able to revitalise an outbuilding at one of our agency managed schemes in Wandsworth. This property provides supported housing for 15 vulnerable and otherwise homeless young people, who are supported to gain valuable living skills in order to live independently in the future.
This outbuilding (affectionately known as ‘the shed’) offers our residents valuable communal space to come together for shared activities. It uses a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) framework that takes into account the impact physical environment has when supporting people to overcome multiple traumas. You can read more about PIE here.
As part of our collaboration with Centrepoint to deliver these services, we have agreed to take on the management, maintenance and repair of this space for future generations of residents at this property.
We’re thrilled that successful partnership between Notting Hill Genesis and Centrepoint has brought much needed additional space back into use and that will be of real value to our residents.
