Notting Hill Housing picked up two awards at last week’s National Leasehold Conference, highlighting the best support available to homeowners in the UK.
Our team earned the Best Practice in Leasehold prize at the prestigious event, while one of our Property Management Officers was celebrated for achieving the best exams results in the country from the Institute of Residential Property Management.
The Best Practice award is for teams who have taken real steps to improve their service, showed insight into what customers want and could prove outstanding service.
In the past year our leasehold teams have focussed on innovative communication with residents to improve transparency of our services. Two of the major solutions were the “My Notting Hill” app for smartphones and tablets and the installation of digital noticeboards in communal entrances to blocks.
The app allows leaseholders to interact with NHH regarding service charges, repairs and personal details, while staff are able to use it as a property management tool.
Digital noticeboards allow us to update information to residents in real time, rapidly communicate information in the rare case of emergencies, improve customer service and even allow residents the chance to get involved and advertise their own events and services that may be of interest to others in their community.
Kevin Dunleavy, Head of Leasehold for NHH, said: “The judges felt our submission was innovative, imaginative and right up to date in terms of technology. They also felt the benefits to residents were very clear.
“We are really proud to have won the best practice award and it’s a fitting tribute to our leasehold teams who do so much to provide a great service to residents.”
