Our most creative residents will join professional artists to have their work on display at a central London gallery from next week.
The A5 Art Show, sponsored by leading property agents Savills, will be held at the Koppel Project in High Holborn from Thursday 29 November to Friday 21 December.
Artworks – all originals – have been chosen for the show as time ticks down to the big launch, all of which have to be A5 in size and will be available for purchase both in person or online.
Every item will have the same £50 price tag, no matter who created it, and will be displayed anonymously. All of the money raised will go towards Notting Hill Genesis’ Hardship Fund to support some of our more vulnerable residents.
Online sales will launch at 6.30pm on Wednesday 28 November.
Members of Notting Hill Genesis staff have also created work for the show, which will be open from 10am to 6pm Monday to Friday and noon to 4pm on Saturdays.
Ten resident workshops were held in various venues over the summer and a selection of work from those events will also be on display.
Mandy Worster, volunteer programme manager for Notting Hill Genesis, said: “This is our first art exhibition since the merger and we are really excited to be showing what a creative and talented group of residents we have.
The artworks we received were of an incredibly high standard and we are all looking forward to being able to unveil the show next week. We would also like to say a huge thank you to the professional artists who have taken part, as well as our sponsors Savills.
