Board welcomes two new members

Two new board members have joined Notting Hill Genesis, supporting us in our aims to provide more of the homes desperately needed in London.

Our non-executive directors will bring a wealth of experience in development and governance and help provide strategic direction and oversight to the work we do.

Claire Kober OBE is managing director (homes) at Pinnacle Group overseeing the company’s housing estates and property management contracts. She works closely with local government, institutional investment and development sectors.

Prior to that, Claire spent a decade in local government as leader of the London Borough of Haringey. She is a former chair of London Councils and has held a number of senior roles at the Local Government Association.

Ahead of joining, Claire said: “I believe the housing association sector has a vital role to play in providing individuals and families the security of a decent home. As one of the largest players in the sector with an impressive track record, ambitious mindset and focus on London – a city with huge housing need – I’ve long admired Notting Hill Genesis.

I’m particularly keen to contribute to discussions on the delivery of social purpose in a modern age and play a role in driving the organisation forward at a time characterised by both great challenges and opportunities.

Ingrid Osborne is divisional chair, London and South East and member of TW UK group management team at Taylor Wimpey. She joined the company as a graduate trainee in 2001, beginning a long career in various roles and teams.

Ingrid is also the group management team lead for environment and sponsor of the Working Family Network.

Ingrid said: “I am interested in the prospect of seeing the housing sector from a different lens. The strength and breadth of the non-executive and executive teams attracted me and I hope my background will be of value when looking ahead to future challenges.

I look forward to the opportunity to make a real difference in such an important part of people’s lives, as well as meeting residents to better understand their own challenges and what we do well or could do better.

Both are on the Notting Hill Genesis, Notting Hill Home Ownership and SpringBoard Two Housing Association Boards, as well as members of the audit and risk committee.
Claire is chair of the operations committee, while Ingrid is chair of the renumeration committee.

Both receive an allowance of £15,000 per year.
