Bruce joined the Genesis Housing Association Board in July 2014 and became a member of the Notting Hill Genesis Board when it was formed in April 2018.
He has considerable experience spanning both the public and private sectors with a distinguished track record as a commercial, financial and funding advisor. Bruce started his career in local government in 1972 with Hemel Hempstead Borough Council, rising to Assistant Director of Finance at Hertsmere Borough Council.
Following his time in local government, he held senior positions at Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS), Halifax Plc, Ernst & Young and most recently, Grant Thornton UK LLP. Bruce brings a wealth of experience in delivering large projects and housing association funding in the housing and regeneration sphere.
Bruce serves as a Director on the Board of Hundred Houses Society, a small association based in Cambridge.
Bruce is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy qualifying in 1981.
He is a member of the Notting Hill Genesis and Notting Hill Home Ownership Boards. Bruce is the Chair of the Audit Committee and also serves on the Treasury Committee.
Bruce receives an allowance of £15,000 per annum.
